Leaving an organization, you’ve worked so hard on after two years can give you a lot of bittersweet feelings. My only advice to others is to have a list of what you want to accomplish. Going by a time limit will only cause damage to yourself. Get in, serve the people that you represent in the community, and get out when you’ve finished everything you set out to do. The organization will continue without you if you complete your goals. Don’t lose the love you have for a community serving that community. Staying even a month longer would have resulted in me going past that line. I’m forever grateful for the friends I made and proud of how the community has flourished. This isn’t an end, just a changing of the engagement rules.
